Peanuts and Cracker Jacks...

Whew, baseball season is over!  I should be joyous, but we actually enjoyed a really great season and I am gonna miss it.  Thank goodness not too much, I'll survive til next season.  Chasing a 1 and 3 year old at the ball park 2-3 times a week, wasn't my idea of a good time.  But Karah found a little playmate and Robbie was content with a bottle in his mouth and some dirt.  So on rare occasion I was able to grab a few photos...often with a toddler on one hip, but I managed.  Brock and Nate both had a blast!  They made so many good friends and they both did a great job on the field.  Nate captured us all with his memorization of the baseball oath, or whatever it is called.  Plus he had his little stance down to a T!  This kid is intense and begging to play football already.  Brock was a great play maker, and always hustled!!!  He was a lickity split runner as well.  Take me out to the ball game...

This is a teammate chanting his, "Hey batta', batta', batta', swing!"

The sun is glistening through the fence as Nate takes a few practice swings.

Nate was first to bat followed by three smackers, so he almost always came in home!

Brock looks on so intensely.

Just some fun action on this next one.

Kicking up dirt!!!

Nate is ready to make a run for it.

I love this next one.  The visual lines created by the fence in the foreground, and the dust kicking up....so fun!

Smack!

I love the dust and lighting on this next one.  Can someone say "Tide with Bleach"!

Brock loves to make his teammates laugh.  I know he is 8 years old, but this picture makes me want to pinch his cheeks!

The slide!

Home run for #12!  I love his stride as he rounds the bases...

Nate is ready...game on!

Just another day at the ball field...one of life's treasures!

Catch it!

Here is Brock trying out Catcher, so cute in the over sized gear!

Should I run?

Brock is ready!

This picture is one of my favorites.  At the beginning of the game after the pledge is said and the baseball oath, the kids scream "Play Ball" as the put their caps back on and race to the dugout...oh the anticipation of a good time!

And finally, at the end of the game, there is nothing like a team huddle to show your spirit!

Go Astros!!!
