This is going to be a long post, well at least lots of pictures. I always have THEE best time at my beach photo shoots. I think it must be the reflection of the sun off the ocean, but the colors are so vibrant and the texture of the sand, the glistening water, the reflections, the overall wonder of the beautiful earth we have been given, ahhhhh!!!
On their way back from a little daddy daughter football game...
It was such a beautiful week at the beach, the weather was perfect until I showed up...then it started to cool down a titch. No matter, we bundled up and continued to enjoy splashing in the waves.
Searching for seashells is always a favorite pastime.
I got to know so many wonderful families. This was a group of families that have known each other for years. They still get together all these years later and the kids have a blast playing with each other. I am trying to think of a really sentimental friendship quote, but I am stumped in my moment of need. Well aren't I a drag! Oh well, check out this sweet family.
This next family I've known for almost a year. I took some pictures of their kids at the beach last September, I believe. The kids are the sweetest kids, so happy, and always full of energy.
Here is a daddy daughter stroll by the sea, I love how she seems to be grasping his hand for protection from the waves. I think really she was just getting chilly in her swimsuit.
There was lots of laughter, I love this real embrace...
Mother and daughter sharing treasures from the sea...
This next one is silly, but this sweet little girl was making silly faces just to get the rest of us laughing. She was the one helping mom and dad relax in front of the camera.
Then they took a stroll down the shoreline.
And of course, I LOVE this one in Black and White!
This father and son were having the best time making figure eights in this wagon...I love the expression on his face.
Hmmm, this next one cracks me up!
The most amazing thing about the beach is that it really doesn't matter what the weather is. The beach is always beautiful and spectacular. When I was in high school, my friends Lacy and Erin, and myself, would skip school and head to the beach at 8 am. It never mattered that is was freezing cold when we got there. We would just bundle up and take a nap to the sound of crashing waves. Then the sun would peek through around 10-11 am and wake us up from our morning slumbers. Okay, that might have been too much information to share, but I couldn't help it. This next picture brought back those memories for me. Plus, we all graduated at the top of our classes, so we couldn't have skipped that much school!
Here are a few more Black and Whites that are all about fun! This is the sweetest brother sister shot to date for me. I mean do you think they really like each other this much? I have to beg my kids to put their arms around each other for a photograph!
The girls are all bundled up sharing a good laugh over who knows what? Must have been a good one though!
I love this one of husband and wife enjoying the sunset. The reflection in the glistening water is so peaceful.
I love their silhouette against the shimmering ocean. I know I am using words like glistening and shimmering and sparlking, over and over again, but what can I say. It was a beautiful day!!!
Here in Southern California we usually enjoy blue skies year round, well... white...ish gray blue! But occasionally it is nice to see the moody clouds rolling in. It made for a spectacular sunset on this special day! Last one for fun!
