Breakfast Brownies

I forgot to include a picture of the Breakfast Brownies being made. We poured them into those little mini cupcake pans which are the perfect bite size treats for our family.

Photo of the day!

Here is a quickie! After Karah and I baked brownies for breakfast (note the chocolate on her nose) she said, "Mom, I am blowing you some kisses....chocolate kisses." So I grabbed a picture of her chocolate eyes, blowing me chocolate kisses....who can resist chocolate???

Photo of the day or 3

So I have three little gems to share with you today.  This is my little man, Rob, playing in the sink of our Master Bathroom.  I often set him right next to me on the counter really quick while I put in some earrings or apply some eyeliner.  Well he has discovered a love for the sink.  I love it too.  Jake and I found this gem of a dresser and he cut a whole in it and installed the sink and did the plumbing etc.  I love the look on this first one, like ohhhh, you caught me turning on the water (which he knows is a no, no).

So what do I do, encourage it more, all for the sake of a few precious photos.  Rob was certainly having a blast!  I love this moment, he gave me a big grin afterwards, discovering his super powers.

It wasn't long after, he was done and trying to climb out of the sink.  I was left with a few water puddles to mop up!  You know that poem about children leaving their dirty handprints and growing up too fast...ya' know...well we can't all be eloquent...anyways, think of that!

A little info....all of these, plus the one from yesterday, Karah flying high, were shot with my trusty old Canon Rebel XT.  I didn't use the flash on any of these...try it!

Photo of the day

I might start a photo of the day...type thing. Maybe I could even include a tip of the day, for all those moms and dads who want to be better photographers. Give me some time to think about this though. Perhaps I'll dedicate another blog to such madness. I could include some tips and tricks that I have learned in my photographic journey! Well for now, here is Karah and I playing Super Man! Well, I am not really in the picture, just my ever so chubby feet, thanks Aunt Shirlee!!!

You spin me right round baby...

Does anyone want to explain what happens to your equilibrium after childbirth?  I mean, am I the only one who use to be a roller coaster die hard with no fear of heights, and giggled with delight while riding the Disneyland tea cups over and over again.  Now I notice myself uneasy as I climb the ladder.  Or last week, I climbed up to our little treehouse (who knows why Jake put it 25-30ft up in the tree?) thinking about what would happen to my children if I fell and died!  And this past weekend, we hit up our local amusement park Castle Park where we had lots of fun with the Garrick cousins.  Now don't get me wrong, I still like a good roller coaster (though it seems to come with a headache) these days.  I can certainly handle the Merry-Go-Round.  But Bonnie and Kevin got in line with all the kids for some spinning cups ride and Jake and I practically went running the other way, NO THANK YOU!  I seriously think I would vomit!  So does anyone else have equilibrium issues after childbirth....please don't tell me it is just old age!!!

Karah loves horses, so it is no joke that we spent half the day on the Merry-Go-Round.

Rob loved the choo-choo, so we spent the other half the day on a train ride.

Aunt Bonnie is always a favorite with my kids...they both raced to hold her hand for a stroll through the park (above picture).  And pictured below, cute Rob, another ride on the Merry-Go-Round.

I did steal a little time away from the babies to ride a little roller coaster with Nate.  I was sitting next to him, so this is a little blurry, but as you can see, he was having a blast!

"That was fun!"

One last ride before we raced home to watch the Laker game!

Peanuts and Cracker Jacks...

Whew, baseball season is over!  I should be joyous, but we actually enjoyed a really great season and I am gonna miss it.  Thank goodness not too much, I'll survive til next season.  Chasing a 1 and 3 year old at the ball park 2-3 times a week, wasn't my idea of a good time.  But Karah found a little playmate and Robbie was content with a bottle in his mouth and some dirt.  So on rare occasion I was able to grab a few photos...often with a toddler on one hip, but I managed.  Brock and Nate both had a blast!  They made so many good friends and they both did a great job on the field.  Nate captured us all with his memorization of the baseball oath, or whatever it is called.  Plus he had his little stance down to a T!  This kid is intense and begging to play football already.  Brock was a great play maker, and always hustled!!!  He was a lickity split runner as well.  Take me out to the ball game...

This is a teammate chanting his, "Hey batta', batta', batta', swing!"

The sun is glistening through the fence as Nate takes a few practice swings.

Nate was first to bat followed by three smackers, so he almost always came in home!

Brock looks on so intensely.

Just some fun action on this next one.

Kicking up dirt!!!

Nate is ready to make a run for it.

I love this next one.  The visual lines created by the fence in the foreground, and the dust kicking up....so fun!

Smack!

I love the dust and lighting on this next one.  Can someone say "Tide with Bleach"!

Brock loves to make his teammates laugh.  I know he is 8 years old, but this picture makes me want to pinch his cheeks!

The slide!

Home run for #12!  I love his stride as he rounds the bases...

Nate is ready...game on!

Just another day at the ball field...one of life's treasures!

Catch it!

Here is Brock trying out Catcher, so cute in the over sized gear!

Should I run?

Brock is ready!

This picture is one of my favorites.  At the beginning of the game after the pledge is said and the baseball oath, the kids scream "Play Ball" as the put their caps back on and race to the dugout...oh the anticipation of a good time!

And finally, at the end of the game, there is nothing like a team huddle to show your spirit!

Go Astros!!!

Dancin' Queen

I am sooo behind on blogging, I suck!  I just have to get straight to these pictures.  We went to the library for a few fun photos and found this book.  I thought it was perfectly fitting for a High School Senior Photo Shoot.

Miss Monica has thee most beautiful and captivating eyes.
Caught you...

I like this one A LOT! (in my best Forrest Gump)

Her beautiful hair was done by the amazing Tracy Green.
